Zen gardens are so relaxing! There is just something about the feeling of the rake moving through the sand and the patterns left behind that is very meditative. You can feel the falling away of concerns and worries as you revert to childhood and just play in the sand!

I made this beautiful playground in a vintage silver colored decorative plate with artist's sand, quartz, an Apache tear, Ruby, Crazylace agate, a stone cairn, and a recycled copper rake. The plate is a 9 3/4" X 6 1/2" oblong vintage serving tray.
